I built the trading journal I couldn’t find.

LYT isn’t a company or a startup. It’s a passion project I started because I wanted to understand trading performance better, and nothing I tried really helped me do it.

$200 away

A friend of mine was trading a prop firm account. After one significant loss, he was left just $200 away from passing his challenge.

Seeing his frustration, and how unsure he was about what had actually gone wrong, stayed with me. I wanted to help him understand his trading better. If I’m honest, I wanted the same thing for myself.

The numbers were never the whole story

I tried Excel. I tried Notion. I tried the trading journals that already existed.

Most of them focused heavily on numbers: win rate, P&L, risk to reward, drawdown. Those numbers are useful. But they didn’t show patterns, give context, keep me motivated or explain why a trader was struggling.

Going deeper came with a price tag

The platforms that went deeper cost around $35 a month, more than ₹3,200 once it reaches an Indian card. For something meant to help traders, that felt unnecessarily expensive.

So I started building

I started building LYT as a passion project, for myself and for my friend.

Somewhere along the way I realized the two of us weren’t the only ones with this problem. Plenty of traders had it. So I decided to make LYT available to them too.

What LYT is today

LYT is a trading performance system. It helps you track your trades, understand your patterns, recognize your weaknesses, improve your execution and become a more self-aware trader.

Why ₹149 a month

The price is intentionally ₹149 a month. Not because LYT is worth less, but because I genuinely want traders to have something useful without another expensive subscription becoming part of their trading costs.

Still being built

LYT is still evolving, and it’s being built with real traders in mind. Every message and every piece of feedback shapes what comes next.

If it helps even one trader understand their trading better, building it was worth it.
